Apprentice Duties

Apprentice Duties
l. Store apprentice boxes at your home. Supply boxes or bins as needed. Pick and Save banana boxes work well for shoes. Most other items need covered boxes.
2. Internet or library research pictures for the styles of hair, jewelry, shoes, etc.
3. Label every piece that comes in on loan and keep a written list with description of the the item and the loanee name. This way all items can be returned appropriately at the end of the show.
4. Use a cast list to assign pieces to each actor.
5. Label hats, shoes, etc with cast name or store small items in baggie with actor name on it.
6. Post on blog items that you are looking for before you purchase.
7. If you need an actor to practice with, talk to Mrs. Wells regarding their availibility. Main role actors may need to be seen at 12:30. If it is a makeup/beard technique, practice on each other or an available actor.
8. Develop a check list for dress rehearsals/shows to make sure all items are checked in.
9. Work closely with costuming to make sure all things coordinate.
10. Work closely with your apprentice coordinator and also you may ask directors for help if you get stuck.
11. Return items to Mrs. Wells in the same containers at the end of the show. If you have large amounts of unused HIS items, go ahead and return them right away to Mrs. Wells, otherwise hold on to everything until the end.
During the run of the dress rehearsals and the shows
1. Actors are to check in with you at your location to get their pieces. You should not have to chase them.
2. Assist actors as necessary with changes in hair, makeup, etc. backstage during the show.
3. Use checklist to check in items at the end of the dress rehearsal/show.
Let your creative skills shine! We couldn't do this show without you!!
