Tomorrow the 25th

Just a heads up that tomorrow is a huge day of rehearsal for the whole cast. Some of you that maybe have been sitting on the edges a bit, will not be doing so tomorrow. There are plenty of crowd scenes and also we are "creating scenes" between the scenes in order to do the set changes. So I will see the whole cast tomorrow promptly at 1:00. And remember to be praying for the safe return of our basketball team members through the snow.

Update your calendars - Final dress and more

Hello cast and crew - here is an update and an FYI for your calendars.

The final dress rehearsal on Friday, April 19th will begin promptly at 11 and run until 2:30. This is to assist students attending a track meet and people leaving town. I had to move it back 2 hours because 2 of our high school cast members take some morning classes at public school.

Monday, April 22 performance at Hartford High School in their Drama Lecture Hall. Call time is 4:00, show begins at 7:00

Call time for Wooded Hills Church on Wednesday, April 24 is also 4:00, as some scenes will need to be reworked.

Keep Tuesday and Thursday of performance week open as there may be a performance scheduled at the Boys and Girls Club.

I do not yet know when the setup/run through will be at CrossWay yet. Please keep the day free.

3 Important Subjects

1. I spoke to you all at the parents' meeting regarding scheduling a couple more performances. We have Monday night scheduled in Hartford with a group of churches there. There is one more opening on either Tuesday or Thurday night. Call me ASAP if your church would like to partner with us in this very unique outreach. At this point we only have 6 performances due to Silverbrook canceling today. The remaining spot(s) should be filled in the next week.

2. We have had a couple requests to move the final dress rehearsal on April 19 from the afternoon to the morning. So far I have one conflict with that change. I need to hear from you if your student cannot make the morning dress rehearsal. And I would need to hear this weekend or Monday at the latest. So please check calendars carefully. Thank you.

3. Another topic from the parents' meeting are the three positions for next year that need to be filled. These are producer, assistant director, and treasurer. Even though these are positions for next year, they need to be filled this spring because these people are essential to pre-production planning prior to auditions. In fact, if I don't have 3-5 people willing to assist me with the pre-production work, I will be unable to direct a play next year. So if you are considering even a piece of this, you can give me or Danielle a call for more information or with any questions. We provide a folder of information for you as well as on-the-job training. Thank you for considering.

Singers

Singers: Make sure that you have both the words and the tune memorized for all the Hebrew songs to which you have been assigned. Also be working the Arab song. I will listen to them this Monday. Thanks.

March 4th - all cast except 4 children

Monday, March 4th is the day when all cast should be at practice, except for the "children". Their first day will be March 18. We will be focusing on Act 2, so if you are only in Act 1 and have a question for me, just call.

I want the galley slaves to practice their rowing with the breathing and the effort and the fall at end. Josiah - please gather everyone except maybe Judah and make this happen.

All fight work needs to be practiced as well. Judah gather Thord and Irmin and practice scene 7. Caleb V. gather the folks for scene 1 and practice and also run the scene 2 work. Remember to start slowly until everyone remembers. Use the practice and then the real swords.

This week we use all props. If your script has a prop listed, ask the stage managers what to use. It is your responsibility to find and use your props. Don't fake it! Think ahead.

Judah will be the only one allowed on stage with their script. Memorize and focus on Act 2 this weekend. We are off book

Englunds, please send me or Jesse a picture of your possible Roman table.

See you Monday.
